Guzzalina, aka Los Angeles-based musician and producer Lisa Guzzalina, is a tunesmith and music fiend. In 2020, GUZZALINA released their latest single, VIRAL. Check it out now!

Beat Smoothie, her debut solo album released in 2018, is an indie, DIY, danceable melange of beats, samples and home studio recordings. Five songs feature heartfelt lyrics and a sound that has been compared to Little Dragon, Phantogram, and Bonobo. The other 7 are instrumental dance tracks with deep house and dub accents.

In 2019, Lisa relocated from Boston to Los Angeles and began collaborating with long-time friend Troy Richardson (bass) and others from Troy’s band and circle, adding Mike Berthold on guitar, Dave Rodway on drums, and Jenene Wiedemer on backup vocals and percussion. A series of live gigs in the Los Angeles area honed their sound and, building new songs into the repertoire, the group infuses indie rock elements into the electronic sounds from the album.

A live video featuring a brand new song, Carried Away, filmed at their Sept. 19, 2019 appearance at the Mar Vista Art & Music Walk, was released on Oct. 9, 2019.

In 2019, Lisa began incorporating a Moog Grandmother – a semi-modular analog synth – into the live set. On December 28, 2019, she released the single Mary Mary – an instrumental track composed and played using only the Grandmother and inspired by her own grandmother.
